tellyKentucky based film company, Pinnacle Productions, has won the 2009 Telly Award for excellence in film production for Non-Profit organizations.  Chosen from the more than 13,000 entries as one of the top videos in its category, this will be Pinnacle’s second Telly, one of the most coveted of all awards for video and film.

Pinnacle  received this award for production of a promotional video for the Friends of the Good Samaritans, a non-profit group dedicated to serving India’s children living in extreme poverty  by operating a large elementary school and several smaller schools in the slum areas outside New Delhi, India and is based in Stanford, Kentucky.  Pinnacle staff traveled to India and filmed on location to produce this award winning video.

“What an incredible experience it was to get to know the Indian children who are among the poorest in the world, yet so full of joy and gratitude, we were so fortunate to be a small part of this important story”, Said David Harl, Producer.  “These kids had been attending school in the only place they had which was a working toilet complex and now they have a state of the art school.”

teamPinnacle Productions has been working with non-profit agencies both in this country and abroad for years.  The studio is located in Kentucky but the staff has traveled all over the US from San Francisco to DC and internationally to some of the poorest and most isolated regions of Central America, Guatemala, India and Africa.  “We want to bring the stories of organizations and volunteers working to help some of the poorest people of the world improve their lives to others that can help financially.”, said Harl, who has worked with non-profits as a volunteer, Director and Development officer.
